The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in coordination with the Embassy of Hungary in Amman and based on the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation within the framework of the Hungarian Scholarship Program signed between the two friendly countries, announces the start of applications for scholarships provided by Hungary for Jordanian students for the academic year 2025-2026. The application period is from Friday, November 15, 2024, until Wednesday, January 15, 2025, for the following study programs:
- Bachelor’s Program: All available specializations in Hungarian universities.
- One-tier Master Program (OTM): Medical and health sciences, and all specializations with study duration longer than four years (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree).
- Master’s Program: All available specializations in Hungarian universities.
- Doctoral Program: All available specializations in Hungarian universities.
Applicants interested in these scholarships can view all the conditions and benefits and submit their applications through the scholarship provider's website at: stipendiumhungaricum.hu.
Guidance on filling out the application form can be found on the following YouTube link: YouTube Guide
Applicants for the Bachelor's degree scholarships, whether those who have successfully completed the requirements of the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent in previous years, or those expecting to complete it successfully in 2025, must not be younger than 18 years of age by August 31, 2025, except for applicants for the Dance Study Program.
Additionally, for eligibility at the Bachelor's degree level, the applicant’s average in the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent must not be lower than the minimum acceptance rates stated in the 2023 guidelines for equivalence of non-Jordanian certificates as follows:
- 90% for Medicine and Dentistry.
- 80% for Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, Engineering, and Veterinary Medicine.
- 70% for Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Rehabilitation Sciences, Nutrition, and Food Science specializations.
- 65% for other specializations.
The ministry also requires that holders of Arab or foreign secondary school certificates must have their certificates authenticated or equivalent certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Education according to the applicable regulations.
The ministry emphasizes to all students wishing to benefit from these scholarships for all study levels the importance of adhering to the 2023 guidelines for the equivalence of non-Jordanian certificates.

The ministry also states that students accepted for the previous academic year 2024-2025 who did not enroll in Hungarian universities after agreeing to the scholarship and did not notify the Hungarian side about their non-enrollment will not be eligible to apply for Hungarian scholarships for three years starting from the academic year in which they were accepted.
Selection among applicants for these scholarships will be based on the results of either the English language proficiency exams (IELTS/General or Academic) or (TOEFL iBT). The scores of both exams will be standardized to a scale of 100 points.
Thus, students must provide the ministry with an officially certified document showing their exam score, valid for up to two years from the specified date of submission. Applicants should submit their results at the following link: Hungary 2025 Application Link, and must include their Applicant ID Number used when applying to Hungarian universities via the above link.
The deadline for uploading the English language proficiency exam results is Thursday, February 6, 2025. The ministry urges students who do not currently have these exam documents to take one of the exams at an accredited center as soon as possible. The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the provided data and documents.
Upon preliminary nomination by the ministry, the applicant will undergo a personal interview and an exam — dates to be determined — by the Hungarian universities they selected. Final admission will be communicated by the Hungarian side.
Important Note: The ministry emphasizes to applicants that submitting applications through the Hungarian scholarship website (stipendiumhungaricum.hu) does not require any payment. The website is user-friendly, allowing students to fill out the application on their own with clear and defined steps. The preliminary nomination will be handled by the ministry, while the final acceptance will be decided by the scholarship provider (Hungarian Scholarship) without interference from any other entities or university service offices.
