Amman – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced a cooperation with Google, as part of the National Council for Future Technology initiatives, that allows all students in Jordanian universities to use the paid version of ‘Google Gemini,’ one of the most advanced generative artificial intelligence tools, free of charge for one year.
The Ministry stated in a press release on Monday that students’ personal Gmail accounts will be used and their current enrollment status will be verified to obtain the offer.
It confirmed that providing university students with AI tools contributes to developing their skills, enhancing their capabilities and innovation, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to integrate artificial intelligence in education.
Students will have access to the ‘Gemini 2.5 Pro’ model, which includes learning-focused features such as deep research, and the ability to generate content, texts, images, and videos, in addition to the ‘NotebookLM’ tool useful for researchers, as well as 2 terabytes of storage space for files and photos on Google Drive and Google Photos.
All university students in Jordan over the age of 18 can register to obtain the free one-year subscription starting from the registration date, and before December 9, through the following website: gemini.google/students ”
