The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development and a Number of Jordanian Public and Private Universities Participate in the First Jordanian Medical and Educational Exhibition in Aleppo, Syria
Over the past few days, the first Jordanian Medical and Educational Exhibition in Aleppo, specialized in medical and educational tourism, was launched in the city of Aleppo in the sister Syrian Arab Republic. The exhibition was organized by the Syrian-Jordanian Company for International Exhibitions and Conferences and continued for two days. Jordan participated in this exhibition under the title **"Study in Jordan"** through the Higher Education Administration at the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, in addition to a number of Jordanian public and private universities and various aviation academies, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus.
It is worth noting that Jordan's participation in this exhibition comes in implementation of the executive plan of the strategy for attracting international students to study at higher education institutions in Jordan for the years **(2023–2027)**, which was prepared by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development in cooperation and coordination with its strategic partner, the Jordan Tourism Board, and approved by the Council of Ministers. The strategy aims to enhance educational tourism in the Kingdom and increase the attraction of international students to study at Jordanian higher education institutions. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry and Jordanian universities have participated, and will participate, in a number of other exhibitions to be held in several countries during 2026. The exhibition witnessed a large turnout of students and their families at the various pavilions of the participating universities and academies.
On the other hand, the Jordanian Ambassador to Damascus, Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, inaugurated the exhibition and toured the pavilions of the Jordanian universities and colleges participating in the exhibition. He emphasized the role of these institutions in promoting and marketing Jordanian universities, their advanced academic standing and recognized academic reputation, as well as their distinguished educational environment, modern facilities, and outstanding academic staff, which have placed them at the forefront of Arab universities that attract Arab and international students in the various specializations offered by Jordanian universities.
Emphasis was also placed on the role of the Jordanian Embassy in Damascus in enhancing opportunities for promotion and academic recruitment of Syrian students, and building on the programs, memoranda, and cultural cooperation agreements between Jordan and Syria that serve this objective, particularly in light of the increasing number of Syrian students studying at Jordanian universities.
Officials of the participating academic and educational institutions provided an explanation of their participation in this exhibition and the steps undertaken to strengthen national efforts for academic recruitment and encourage Arab students, and in the Syrian Arab Republic, to increase their interest in studying in Jordan and benefiting from the competitive advantages and facilities provided to them, appreciating the supportive role of the Jordanian Embassy and its presence at this important educational exhibition.
