Representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Jordanian Universities, and Academies Visit the Honorary Consulate of Jordan in Alexandria

A delegation representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with Jordanian universities and academies participating in the EDUGATE International Exhibition specializing in educational tourism, visited the headquarters of the Honorary Consulate of Jordan in Alexandria Governorate, Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the visit, which was attended by the Cultural and Media Counselor at the Embassy of Jordan in Egypt, Dr. Alaa Al-Zyoud, opportunities for cooperation were reviewed to support programs and strategies aimed at attracting international students to study at Jordanian universities.

The Honorary Consul of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Alexandria, Buraq Al-Abadi, expressed his full support for the broad Jordanian participation in the EDUGATE Exhibition, which will commence tomorrow, Sunday, in Alexandria Governorate, with the active participation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to a number of Jordanian public and private universities and various aviation academies.

The Jordanian delegation’s visit to the Consulate comes within the framework of introducing the efforts being made to promote Jordanian higher education institutions and to strengthen partnerships with relevant stakeholders in order to enhance the recruitment of Egyptian and international students residing in Egypt to study at Jordanian universities.

The Jordanian pavilion at the exhibition, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, over the course of three days before moving to Alexandria, received visits and support from the Embassy of Jordan in Cairo. In partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Jordanian universities, and colleges, the Embassy contributes to efforts aimed at serving Jordanian educational institutions and increasing the number of students wishing to study there.
