Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah announces the nomination of (4,500) four thousand five hundred new students to receive loans in place of students who declined

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah announced today, Sunday الموافق 5-4-2026, that the Scholarships Directorate at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will nominate (4,500) four thousand five hundred new students to receive loans from the University Student Support Fund at the Ministry, in place of students who declined these loans, as the official period specified for completing the procedures and required documents from students who were nominated to receive internal grants and loans for the current academic year 2025-2026 ended last Tuesday.
The Minister Mahafzah added that the Ministry will distribute these available loans to the districts in which not all applying students were included in grants and loans. It is also expected that the Ministry will announce during this week the names of the students who will receive these loans, and text messages will be sent to them on their mobile phone numbers stored in their applications.

It is worth noting that including this additional number in the loans will raise the total number of students who have been nominated to receive internal grants and loans for the current academic year 2025-2026 from (60,341) to (64,841). The percentage of students receiving internal grants and loans will also increase from (78)% to (84)% of the total number of students who submitted applications and met the eligibility conditions.
